Business Foundations for Analysts
About Course
Who is this course for? Anyone starting their journey as a Business Analyst — whether you are transitioning from a non-business background, recently graduated, or already working in operations, quality, or data roles and want to build the business context that makes your analytical work more impactful.
What problem does it solve? Most data and analytics courses teach you tools and techniques — Excel, SQL, Power BI. But they assume you already understand what a business is, how departments work, and why the numbers you are calculating actually matter. This course fills that gap. Without it, a Business Analyst produces technically correct analysis that businesses cannot act on.
What will you be able to do after completing this course? You will be able to walk into any business meeting and understand what is being discussed. You will know what each department cares about, how success is measured across the organisation, how decisions flow from strategy to execution, and exactly where a Business Analyst fits in and adds value. Every analytical project you take on after this course will be faster, more focused, and more credible — because you will understand the business context behind the data.
